Hello and welcome to the second semester of the 2022-2023 school year!

I am honored to serve the students, staff, families, and community as the new principal of South Pointe Middle School.  South Pointe Middle School is an elite academic institution, and I personally believe that based on our school’s offerings and achievements in academics, activities, the arts, and athletics, we truly are the best middle school in the world.  

We are proud that South Pointe Middle School has been named a California and National Schools to Watch School, California Exemplary Arts Education Program School, California Gold Ribbon School, California Distinguished School, and California Business for Education Excellence School.

South Pointe Middle School is strongly grounded in our traditions, school pride, access for all students, and multiple pathways to success.  We believe that success looks different for every student, and we firmly subscribe to the philosophy that “every child is known.”  We take the necessary steps to ensure a safe, supportive, and rigorous educational program for every student. We hold our students to high expectations in everything we ask them to do so they promote to the next level with the skill set necessary to continue their progress to become college and career ready.

In addition to the rigorous academic educational program offered at South Pointe, we also have a strong focus on connectedness.  We strive to have every student, staff member and family feel connected to our campus, and we believe that our focus on engaging and educating the whole child lends itself to this.  Our athletic programs, Associated Student Body (ASB), our large selection of club offerings (we offer 23 clubs!), and our parent-led Community Club all provide opportunities for our students, staff, and families to get connected at South Pointe. 

Our menu of extra-curricular offerings pairs with our strong educational program to provide students with different pathways to develop their talents, to engage with others, to explore new opportunities, and to strengthen interpersonal skills.  South Pointe Middle School is as great as it is because of its well-rounded students, incredibly dedicated staff, supportive families, and strong local community.  Together, we partner to make what is rightfully known as “The South Pointe Family.”  We are proud of our school, and we look forward to taking it to new heights.
